Registered Veterinary Technician
After eight years in the US Air Force, Shelia enrolled in the Vet Med program at Central Carolina Community College. After graduating in 1991 and completing the national and state board exam, she became a licensed veterinary technician. Shelia was already working at Lillington Vet Clinic under the direction of the original owner Sarah Brown, DVM as a student. She continued to work for the practice through the change of ownership to Janet Batker in 2000 to what is now called Lillington Veterinary Hospital. Even after officially retiring in June 2010, after a 21 year career as a technician, Shelia continues to work pat-time at LVH and enjoys working with the animals and the wonderful staff.
